November Trip- Camp Citta- we will be tent camping at Camp Citta in Barnegat, NJ from November 14-16. Cost is $45, dues ASAP but no later than Friday, October 31. Permission slip is attached.
Communication- the Patrol Leaders spent part of last meeting gathering contact information from their Patrol members so that they could create group chats to keep them informed. Ideally, everyone has a cell # that should be given to the Patrol Leader. Regardless, everyone must have an e-mail address so that the PL has some way to make contact. Also, so everyone can receive my weekly e-mail and get in the habit of checking it. If your scout does not have an e-mail, please create one and give it to both me and his PL.
Speaking of communication, as a reminder at the outset of the new scouting year, one of the things we are trying to do is making the scouts responsible for communicating with me or other adult leaders regarding things like advancements or attendance issues. I have gotten a bunch of e-mails over the past several weeks from parents that should not be coming from them. If it is an issue about behavior or some type of incident, fine, but anything pertaining to a question of advancement or attendance needs to come from a scout. I will not respond to parents’ questions about those issues. Also, anything about advancement is really supposed to go to the Patrol Leader first. Thanks
