Friday, May 30- Merit Badge meeting at 7:30

Program Patrol for the month of May- Striking Cobras
Service Patrol for the month of May- Rattlesnakes. Please arrive by 7:15 to set up
Scouts not doing Merit Badges will be doing other activities
Philmont participants- we will be having a gear shakedown at 6:30
Below is a list of counselors in the Troop, the badges they cover, and their e-mail. If you are interested in working on a badge you (THE SCOUT) should contact the counselor to make sure they are going to be at the meeting. Do not assume that the counselor will be there. You also MUST read the Merit Badge book before coming to the meeting. You should also print out the Merit Bad Worksheet to aid in your preparation, but it is not a substitute for reading the book.

Troop Car Wash- Saturday, May 31- the 2nd of our 3 car washes will be this Saturday (weather permitting). Meet in the big schoolyard at 7 am. Earn your way and reduce your parents’ cost for summer camp or Philmont. Attached is a flyer for the car wash. Please pass this out to your friends, put it on your Facebook page, Instagram, etc.
Hawk Mountain- we will be available to discuss all Hawk Mountain questions and issues with first time campers this Friday. If you have questions about what to pack, how to pack it, etc., please meet at Suja’s table after the opening Ceremony.
Microtel- for parents staying over on the night of Friday, July 18, we have reserved a block of rooms at the Microtel in Hamburg, PA. The cost is $104.95 plus tax. Please mention Troop 37 when you call. The number is 888-660-8038. The rooms are on hold until Friday, July 4.
Order of the Arrow- Mr. Christensen asked that I pass this along-if any Scouts want to get more involved with the Aquehonga Chapter Order of the Arrow, they can get more involved by becoming an elected officer or an appointed chairman. If anyone is interested, please let Mr. Christensen know by June 9 so that the Chapter can meet with them prior, and prepare the agenda for, the June 21 chapter meeting at 2pm at Pouch Camp.
Payments and Deadlines:
Breakfast at Landingville Fire Houseon the way to Hawk Mountain on Sunday, July 13- $15 per person (scouts and leaders who are camping are paid for)- due by Friday June 20
Chicken Dinner at Hawk Mountain on Friday evening, July 18- (scouts and leaders who are camping are paid for)
Class B shirt order form- due ASAP but absolutely no later than Friday, June 6- due by Friday June 20
Hawk Mountain Medicals- TWO COPIES (including Part C completed by doctor and front and back of insurance card), Allergy and OTC Medication forms due by Friday June 20
