Maritime Camp-o-Ree 2024

As you may recall, we attempted to go to the SUNY Maritime Camp-o-Ree in the spring but were closed out because of limited space. I received the information on next year’s camporee yesterday. See the attached flyer. As you can see, registration opens on Wednesday and is limited to the first 200 attendees. Unfortunately, they did not give us much time. I am going to try to wait about a week to register so we can see who is interested in going. If you want to go, please respond to this email ASAP. You can pay beginning this Friday. If we register you, you are responsible for payment.

This is a little pricey- $68 per scout and $45 per adult leader, but all meals are included, and it should be a very interesting experience.

The flyer does say it’s for scouts 13 and older. I am trying to verify that they really mean that (last year they didn’t). If you want to go let me know regardless of age. I am not registering anyone until I verify you are eligible to go.

I also need to know what adult leaders can go. I do not think I will be able to get up there until Saturday morning.

I’m sorry for making everyone decide if they want to commit to something 5 months from now, but there seems to be no other way.

Thanks,

Rob Pfuhler

Scoutmaster, Troop 37
