Dear Scout Parents and Guardians,
It has come time to start planning for Summer Camp at Hawk Mountain (July 14th- July 20th).
The cost for the week of Summer Camp is $500 per Scout. As many of you may be aware, Troop 37 takes advantage of the Early Bird Discount at Hawk Mountain. This means that we must be paid in full to Hawk Mountain by May 1st.
All necessary forms and information will be disseminated at the mandatory Parent/Guardian Summer Camp Meeting on Friday, May 3. Please mark your calendars so that at least one parent/guardian can accompany your Scout(s) to this meeting.
We want our Scouts to attend Summer Camp despite these challenging economic times. So, we have three Troop Car Washes planned for May 11, June 1, and June 15. This initiative is designed to help Scouts earn their way. Please ensure that your Scouts work at these Car Washes. The money raised is allocated amongst the Scouts according to the hours they worked to offset your Summer Camp costs.
Since the Car Wash dates are after May 1st, and we cannot guarantee sunshine for any of the scheduled dates, we are requesting payment in advance, as follows:
Total Cost = $500, payable in three installments, as follows:
1st Payment = $150 by February 16th
2nd Payment = $150 by March 15th
Balance = $200 by April 19
Please note that some Merit Badges or special programs such as COPE or PATHFINDERS have an additional charge of about $20 or $17, respectively. Actual amounts will be available at the May 3rd meeting.
All payments must be in either cash or checks payable to BSA - Troop 37. Kindly contact Suja Perera or any of the registered adult leaders if you have any questions/concerns.
Thank you,
Suja Perera, Troop Treasurer
